Dan Coopers Round 1 Race Report.
RACE REPORT
An amazing way to start off the season at knockhill for my first outing of the year! Came home with 2 second places and whole lot of motivation for the upcoming rounds
RACE 1: qualified P6 and the first race was hectic a red flag on lap 2 i believe after an oil spill and a few crashes on the restart I got my head down and made my way through who I could and settled in very nicely and finished in 4th absolutely over the moon for my first race of the season
RACE 2: starting from P4 got away the best I could with the front pack and after that it was a pretty calm race again got my head down properly knowing I was in 3rd and finished 3rd on track but finished 2nd after a rider in-front had a jump start penalty
RACE 3: not overly happy with this one pitted on the first warm up lap and I’ll be honest had a bit of a brain fart and started from pit late came out dead last and made my way through the pack to finish in 7th after riding on wet tyres on a dry track
RACE 4: starting in 6th race got red flagged 2 laps in due to rain so a quick change of tyres and we were back out, I love riding in the wet so I felt absolutely amazing got settled nicely in P3 and soon catched 2nd knowing there was a podium and 3rd was behind me I got my head down again and finished in 2nd
