2026 is GO GO GO!!
Despite bitterly cold winds and a persistent drizzle, pre-season testing for the Knockhill Motor Sports Club bike racing classes drew an impressive turnout at Knockhill Racing Circuit. The harsh conditions did little to deter competitors, as strong gusts and low temperatures failed to slow the pace on track.
Among those returning to the circuit was Charlie Reynolds of Reynolds Racing, who is back for the 2026 season with a clear objective. After competing across multiple series during the 2025 campaign, Reynolds has refocused his efforts on the Scottish Championships, aiming to reclaim the Scottish Pre‑Injection 600 Championship title.
The morning session began with a handful of expected pre-season challenges. Minor setup adjustments were required, alongside a small fueling issue that briefly limited early running. Once these teething problems were resolved, Reynolds began to settle into a consistent rhythm, with lap times steadily improving as track activity intensified throughout the day.
The team’s new Yamaha YZF-R6 quickly drew attention in its testing livery. The machine looked sharp on circuit and delivered a distinctive soundtrack, with crisp pops and bangs accompanying each gear change as Reynolds pushed through successive laps. The performance on track provided an encouraging indication of the pace Reynolds Racing hopes to carry into the season ahead.
With preparations now underway, anticipation is building for the opening rounds of the 2026 Scottish Championship campaign. Race reports from each round will follow throughout the season, with on-site videography from CMC-Images Media Productions capturing the action as it unfolds.
